Massachusetts gains jobs, unemployment rate drops
Employers added
5,000 mass jobs in November, the 2nd straight month of gains, and the state’s unemployment rate dropped to 7%, according to several surveys put out by the governors office.
The unemployment rate is now at its lowest point since December 2008, it dropped 3 tenths of one percent in that timeframe. Comparitively, the national unemployment rate is at 8.6 percent.
Massachusetts has no gained 51,600 over the past 12 months. November numbers were also revised up 1,100
jobs in Boston.
