Green job board offers free job postings
Only green job board that offers free job postings for green employers

Employers with green jobs can now post their openings on the web's only free green job board, GreenJobsFree.com. The site, available at http://www.greenjobsfree.com/ is powered by JobThread and features categories for wind, solar, biofuel and other green job functions.

"Green jobs want to be free" says founder Chris Michaels. "I wanted to create a site that helps build the green economy and the best way to do that is to make it free for both job seeker and employer. I invite solar companies, wind turbine firms and all green industry businesses to use it as much as they want." There is no limit to the amount of green jobs they can post. The site makes money of banner and other advertising.

The green job market heating up, thanks to new grants from the Department of Energy which is awarding seed money to many new types of green businesses including battery makers, electric car companies and solar panel manufacturers. Over the next 5 to 10 years the green job market is expected to explode. The number of jobs in America’s emerging clean energy economy grew nearly two and a half times faster than overall jobs between 1998 and 2007, according to a recent report released by The Pew Charitable Trusts.

The report finds that the emerging clean energy economy is creating well-paying jobs in every state for people of all skill levels and educational backgrounds. Included in Pew’s definition are jobs as diverse as engineers, plumbers, administrative assistants, construction workers, machine setters, marketing consultants, teachers and many others, with annual incomes ranging from $21,000 to $111,000.

Companies posting jobs on GreenJobsFree.com can choose from the following categories: Biofuel, Engineering, Solar, Wind, Geothermal, Sustainability, Green Job Fairs, Ethanol, Green Construction, Hydroelectric and LEED. Job postings can be edited anytime and are live for 30 days.
