Belgian web developer giving away iPod for job leads
CareerHub just posted this about one job seeker who will give an
iPod to any who helps him land a job. Talk about
creativity in job hunting!
I often talk about the ways in which the Web is changing job search, but I don't think I've ever seen a better example than Tijs Vrolix, a Belgian web developer who is currently looking for work. Tijs is asking site visitors to help him find a job by letting him know of any vacancies that might suit him. In exchange, he's awarding an iPod Shuffle to the person who ultimately helps him find a new job.

Designer creates killer site & blog
Gotta love this job seeker's web site and blog.
Jess3.com. As a designer he displays his work, his resume and writes about his goals. It's cool, hip and well done. If I were an employer looking at it, I'd be impressed.

Owens Bloggers - MBA's that blog

This is a
great concept for anyone in grad school. Well done!
This site is designed to give prospective Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management students a peek into the lives and thoughts of people currently in the program. This is an uncensored, unedited look at lives of a group of MBA and MSF students. We aren't some marketing project cooked up by the admissions team; we're honestly a group of people that want to share what it's like to be in the Vanderbilt MBA program. We have a team of nearly a dozen independent Bloggers. To navigate the individual Blogs you can select from the most recent posts below or from the list of Bloggers to the left.Labels: MBA Candidates
The Rants of a recent college grad
A "
disgruntled college grad" writes about:
... my search for a decent paying job and how hard it is to get by on a substandard pay in today's world.
Best of luck DCG, let us know how it turns out.
Clint James, soon to be graduate blogger, writer
I got an email yesterday from a student editor who works at Experience. He wanted to link to some of my content which of course I agreed to. But his email caught my eye for another reason.
His email signature.
Clint is a job seeker who 'gets it'. His email signature is a great personal marketing tool. Every student should follow his lead. And so, I'm presenting him with the job search marketing tactic award of the month.

Sincerely,
Clint James
